Integration Users in Align and Vault CRM

The integration between Align and the rest of Vault CRM requires an integration user. To configure and define the Align Integration User:

The Vault CRM Integration User connects Align and Vault CRM for processes involving the two systems, for example importing from Vault CRM. These processes execute in the integration user's name and use the integration user's credentials to do so.

Vault CRM Integration Users must have the following requirements in order to correctly integrate with an Align instance:

  • A language of English in Vault CRM
  • At least Read access to the following Vault CRM objects:
  • account__v
  • address__v
  • child_account__v
  • product_metrics__v
  • territory__v
  • user__sys

Defining the Align Integration User

The Align Integration User should be used for daily processing jobs in Align. Certain processing jobs need to use a Vault User Account to read and update Vault records.

To define the Align Integration User:

  1. Navigate to Align Admin > Integrations.
  2. Select the Gear menu in the in Align section.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Select the appropriate user. Users selected as the Align Integration User must meet the following requirements:

    • The user must have English selected as their language
    • The user must belong to the VaultOwner group
  5. Enter the selected user's password.

    It is recommended that the Align Integration User's password never expire, as resetting the password affects integrations.

  6. Select Save to validate the entered credentials.
