Mapping Direction
There are three types of directional mapping:
- Bidirectional mapping is the mapping of values that exist in both Vault CRM and Network. It is used for communications in both directions (Inbound and Outbound) between Vault CRM and Network.
- Inbound mapping is the mapping of a value that exists in Network but does not have a unique equivalent in Vault CRM. Using this mapping type, the Network value is assigned to a Vault CRM value that is already mapped to Network via Bidirectional mapping. All Network values that do not have a unique equivalent in Vault CRM should have mapping in this direction. This mapping type is used for Inbound (from Network to Vault CRM) data transactions only.
- Outbound mapping is the mapping of a value that exists in Vault CRM but does not have a unique equivalent in Network. Using this mapping type, a Vault CRM value is assigned to a Network value that is already mapped to Vault CRM via Bidirectional mapping. All Vault CRM values that do not have a unique equivalent in Network should have mapping in this direction. This mapping type is used for Outbound (from Vault CRM to Network) data transactions only.
