Unsubscribe by Content Type
Content creators can alter the unsubscribe link to enable recipients to unsubscribe and edit their preferences for content types rather than product.
Who can use this feature?
- Browser, iPad, iPhone Users
- Users require an Approved Email license
- Content Creators, Integration Users
Configuring Unsubscribe by Content Type
Integration Users
To configure this feature, grant integration users edit field permission to the consent_level__v field on the unsubscribe__v object, and the content_type_display_name__v field on the unsubscribe_products__v object.
Using Unsubscribe by Content Type
Content Creators
To alter the unsubscribe link to enable recipients to unsubscribe and edit their preferences for content types rather than product:
- Place the consent_level__v field on the appropriate unsubscribe__v object page layouts.

Create an Unsubscribe record with the following values:
- Object Type = approved_email_unsubscribe__v
- consent_level__v = content_type__v
- unsubscribe_identifier__v = a unique value

Create one or more unsubscribe_products__v records with the following parameters. This step is optional.
- Object type= approved_email_content_type_unsubscribe__v
- content_type__v = an existing Content Type record.

If unsubscribe_products__v records are not created, the entire list of content types with approved_document__v records displays.
