Publishing Method for Email Fragments

To understand the distribution of manually uploaded and auto-published Email Fragments synced from Vault, Vault CRM Admin users can view the publish method, which displays how Email Fragments were created. Users can auto-publish Approved Email Fragments in bulk from Veeva Vault. In Vault CRM, admins can view the publish method of Email Fragments in Approved Documents. When admins need to make changes to the availability of fragments, they can use the information in the publish method field to determine which fragments require manual changes.

To distinguish between the auto-published and user-generated Email Fragments in Vault CRM, open the Approved Documents in the browser and view the Publish Method value.

Publish Method values:

  • Vault Auto Published - Email Fragments that are auto published in Vault and then synced to Vault CRM
  • Vault User Published - Email Fragments that are user generated in Vault and then synced to Vault CRM, Email Templates synced from Vault

For example, an organization may decide to make all of their content in Vault PromoMats/MedComms available as Approved Email Fragments. A Vault Admin uses a bulk process to select all documents as available for auto publishing, and a Vault process automatically creates Email Fragments. When the Email Fragments are synced to Vault CRM, the Publish Method on the approved_document__v record is set to Vault Auto Published, and end users are able to select those Email Fragments when composing an Approved Email message.
