Product Catalog Overview

Vault CRM's Product Catalog contains all product types available for use within the various modules of the application. The flexible structure of the Product Catalog allows for the granular definition of products and related items of a life sciences company.

The Product Catalog is stored in the product__v object. You can add custom fields to this object for users to reference as a catalog of information about products and competitive intelligence. Special fields in the Product Catalog drive options in My Setup Products, Call Report, and Product Metrics.

The Product Catalog houses product data used within Vault CRM to manage key functions:

• Call Detailing
• Samples
• My Setup Products
• Product Restrictions

There are several product types provided in the product catalog. Customers can also add new types that meet their business needs. For a complete list of out of the box product types, see Product Catalog Components.
