## Selecting Account Plans from Call Reports

To associate an account plan with a call, users can select active account plans from the account plan picklist on the call report. This allows users to quickly view strategies, activities, and action items for the account.

**Who can use this feature?**

* KAM Users — Browser, iPad, iPhone, Windows

### Configuring Account Plan Access from Call Reports for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Call Reporting](../../Call_Reporting_2/ConfiguringCR.htm) is complete.
2. Grant permissions:

* Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**
* Select the appropriate permission set
* Select the **Objects** tab
* Grant users edit permission to the **account\_plan\_\_v** field on the call2\_\_v object
* Grant users at least read permission to the **account\_plan\_\_v** object

3. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > call2\_\_v**
4. Select the **Layouts** tab.
5. Add the **account\_plan\_\_v** field to the Details app section on the appropriate call2\_\_v layouts.

To enable Browser users to create a call from an account plan:

1. Ensure [Configuring Call Reporting](../../Call_Reporting_2/ConfiguringCR.htm) is complete.
2. Grant permissions:

* Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**
* Select the appropriate permission set
* Select the **Objects** tab
* Grant edit permission to the **account\_plan\_\_v** field on the call2\_\_v object
* Grant execute permission to the **record\_call\_\_v** object action on the account\_plan\_\_v object

3. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > account\_plan\_\_v > Object Types**.
4. Select the **Actions** link next to the pagination controls.
5. Add the **Record a Call** object action to the associated object types.

To enable Browser users to create a call from an objective:

1. Ensure [Configuring Call Reporting](../../Call_Reporting_2/ConfiguringCR.htm) is complete.
2. Grant permissions:

* Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**
* Select the appropriate permission set
* Select the **Objects** tab
* Grant edit permission to the **account\_plan\_\_v** field on the call2\_\_v object
* Grant edit permission to the **account\_tactic\_\_v** field on the call2\_discussion\_\_v object
* Grant execute permission to the **record\_call\_\_v** object action on the account\_tactic\_\_v object

3. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > call2\_\_v**.
4. Select the **Layouts** tab.
5. Add the **product\_discussion\_section\_\_v** app section to the appropriate call2\_\_v page layouts.
6. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > account\_tactic\_\_v > Object Types**.
7. Select the **Actions** link next to the pagination controls.
8. Add the **Record a Call** object action to the associated object types.

Users can select an account plan from the account\_plan\_\_v picklist on the call report, giving them easier access to the plan details.

Account plans are available for selection in the call report when:

* The account plan is active
* The status\_\_v field on the account\_plan\_\_v record is set to Active
* The active\_\_v checkbox on the account\_plan\_\_v record is selected
* The call account is associated to the account plan through any of the following:
* The account plan is assigned to the primary account on the call
* The account plan contains an objective associated to the primary account on the call
* The call account is a key stakeholder on the account plan
* The call account has an action item on the account plan

If there are child calls, the account plan selected on the parent call is stamped to the child calls when users save or submit the call report.

When users select the Record Call object action to create a call report from an account plan, the account plan and account are automatically populated.

When users select the Record Call object action to create a call report from an objective, the account plan and account are automatically populated based on the values from the objective. When users add a call discussion, the objective is automatically populated.
