## New Account Wizard

The New Account Wizard allows users to create an account, a corresponding address, a territory field record, and assign the newly created account to a territory in a single screen when creating a record in My Accounts. All fields required to create an account display in the New Account Wizard page for the user to populate.

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Accounts](../AcctConfig.htm) is complete.
2. Select the **NEW\_ACCOUNT\_WIZARD** checkbox on the Global Veeva Settings object to enable the wizard.

To allow iPad users to assign the newly created account to a territory:

1. Grant Create permission to the **account\_territory\_loader\_\_v** object.
2. Enable the iPad VMOC for **account\_territory\_loader\_\_v**.
3. Enter any text in the **CRM\_Managed\_Account\_Types** Veeva Message if the user has Create permissions on the account\_\_v object, which is needed when using CRM Managed Account Types. (Optional)

To configure this feature for CRM Desktop (Windows), enable the **winmodern\_\_v** VMOC.

#### Customizing Field and Field Display Order

Fields can be added to the New Account Wizard by including the field as required on the corresponding Account layout. The fields in the NAW display in the following order:

1. Object type
2. Name fields (for example, first\_name\_cda\_\_v and last\_name\_cda\_\_v)
3. Any fields marked **Required** on the Account layout that are not on the ignore list, in the order they are placed on the layout.

The ignore list includes the following fields:

* name\_\_v
* salutation\_\_v
* first\_name\_cda\_\_v
* last\_name\_cda\_\_v
* primary\_parent\_\_v
* business\_professional\_person\_\_v

The ignore list cannot be modified.

The following fields from the address\_\_v object display as part of step 3 above, even if they are not marked as required:

* name\_\_v
* street\_address\_2\_cda\_\_v
* city\_cda\_\_v
* state\_province\_\_v
* postal\_code\_cda\_\_v
* country\_\_v

Object reference fields are not supported in the New Account Wizard. Vault pages on account layouts are also not supported in the New Account Wizard.

When the New Account Wizard is enabled, it replaces the manual account creation process from all entry points.

To create a new account with the New Account Wizard:

1. Select **Account** from the dropdown on the Create button.
2. Select an account type.

   Account object types must have unique translated labels. If a Vault contains two or more account object types with the same translated label, they may not all display in the New Account Wizard.
3. Enter the account information in the Enter Account Information screen.

4. Select Save.

To enable users to quickly capture State License information, admins can [configure state license fields](State_License_Information_in_Account_Wizards.htm) to display in account wizards.
