## Managing My Setup Products in Align

Align operational users can define product-to-territory assignments in Align and push those assignments to the connected instance of Vault CRM, enabling administrators to automate a user’s CRM product assignments based on their active territory assignments.

Products can be assigned to a territory either manually or via field force inheritance. When products are added to, removed from, or modified in a territory, all distinct products are pushed to the my\_setup\_products\_\_v object in Vault CRM.

Once roster members are added to, removed from, or edited in a territory with assigned products, all distinct products for the roster members are pushed to Vault CRM’s my\_setup\_products\_\_v object.

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Align](../../Configuration/ConfiguringAlign.htm) is complete.
2. Navigate to **Align > Align Admin > Align Settings (Production)**.
3. Select **Yes** for the My Setup Products picklist.
4. Set the **field\_force\_product\_inheritance\_\_v** setting to Territories Inherit Field Force Products. This step is optional and enables territories to automatically inherit their associated field force's product assignments. Assignments can be inherited either when they are initially assigned to the field force or when a new product is assigned to the field force.
5. Select **Save**.

### Assigning Products to Territories and Field Forces as

[![Closed](../../../../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)Align Operational Users](#)

To assign products to territories:

1. Navigate to the **Products** related list of the appropriate aln\_territory\_\_v record.

If field force product inheritance is enabled, you can also navigate to the appropriate aln\_field\_force\_\_v record.
2. Select **Create**.
3. Populate the following fields:

   * Product – Use the lookup field to select the appropriate product
   * Start Date – Select the start date for the assignment
   * End Date – Select the end date for the assignment
   * Send to CRM – Assigns the product to all users in the territory or field force upon the next push to Vault CRM
   * Favorite – Designates the product as a favorite in Vault CRM, increasing visibility to end users when detailing products
4. Select **Save**. Alternatively, select **Add Row** to add another product.

Since my\_setup\_products\_\_v records are not mapped to a territory and instead associate products to users, assigning a product to a territory means the Vault CRM user corresponding to that territory’s roster members has a new My Setup Product record added in Vault CRM for the product.

#### User-Aligned Products

The user\_aligned\_\_v field on the product\_\_v object in Vault CRM disables the auto-inherit functionality for Business Reply Cards (BRCs) and promotional items if an entire field force is aligned to a parent detail product, but not all territories should have visibility to those items.

If the user\_aligned\_\_v field on the product\_\_v object is set to True for a product, the assignment does not cascade to each territory in the field force. This does not occur retroactively if the assignment was previously inherited from the field force to the territory.
