## Managing Product Assignments in Align

Align operational users can manage and maintain product assignments for field forces and territories. This enables control over which products are associated with a specific territory, ensuring a clear and accurate overview of product responsibilities. Product assignments for a field force can also automatically cascade down to all associated territories, simplifying product management.

To configure this feature, ensure [Configuring Align](../../Configuration/ConfiguringAlign.htm) is complete.

#### Configuring Field Force Product Inheritance

Admins can also configure Align to automatically create or update product assignments for all associated territories when an aln\_field\_force\_product\_\_v record is created or updated:

1. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > Align Settings** and edit the appropriate record.
2. Select the **Field Force Product Inheritance** checkbox.

### Assigning Products to a Field Force as

To assign products to a field force:

1. Navigate to the **Field Force Products** section of the appropriate aln\_field\_force\_\_v record.
2. Select **+ Create**.
3. Populate the following fields:

   * Product – Select the appropriate product
   * Start Date – The start date of the assignment
   * End Date – The end date of the assignment
   * Send to CRM – Select Yes to schedule the assignment to send to Vault CRM. Select No to keep all assignments local to Align.
   * Favorite – Indicate if the product should be marked as a [favorite](../../../Products/MySetupPage.htm) for all users assigned this product via the field force

     Send to CRM must be Yes for a product to be marked as a favorite.
4. Select **+ Add Row** to add another product, or select **Save**.

### Assigning Products to a Territory as

To assign products to a field force:

1. Navigate to the **Territory Products** section of the appropriate aln\_territory\_\_v record.
2. Select **+ Create**.
3. Populate the following fields:

   * Product – Select the appropriate territory
   * Start Date – The start date of the assignment
   * End Date – The end date of the assignment
   * Send to CRM – Select Yes to schedule the assignment to send to Vault CRM. Select No to keep all assignments local to Align.
   * Favorite – Indicate if the product should be marked as a [favorite](../../../Products/MySetupPage.htm) for all users assigned this product via the field force

     Send to CRM must be Yes for a product to be marked as a favorite.
4. Select **+ Add Row** to add another product, or select **Save**.
