## Viewing Users' Calendars with Manager View

From My Schedule, managers can review scheduled activities for reports in territories one or more levels below their territory, based on territory hierarchy. This enables managers to easily identify potential conflicts or overlaps in reports’ schedules, and review reports’ workloads for more informed decisions when assigning tasks. When using Manager View, managers can only view one report’s calendar at a time, and they cannot create calls or calendar entries for their reports.

If configured, [Unavailable Time Slots](../../Multichannel/Engage/Schedule/UnavailableTime.htm) and [Meeting Requests](../../Multichannel/Engage/Schedule/MeetingRequests.htm) display on the report’s calendar. Optionally, when [Integrating My Schedule and Microsoft Outlook Calendars](../Scheduling/OutlookIntegration.htm) is enabled, Manager View can be configured to display external calendar events on the Browser platform.

**Who can use this feature?**

* Managers — Browser, iPad, Windows
* [Using Manager View](#Using)
* Users do not require an additional license

### Configuring Manager View for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Call Planning](../CPConfig.htm) is complete.
2. Populate the **display\_external\_calendars\_to\_mgrs\_\_v** Veeva Setting with the number 1 (optional). This enables managers to view external calendar events from their reports' calendars on the Browser platform when [Integrating My Schedule and Microsoft Outlook Calendars](../Scheduling/OutlookIntegration.htm) is enabled.

When this setting is enabled and [Viewing Shared Calendars](SharingCalendars.htm) is enabled, end users can also view external calendar events from shared calendars.

### Using Manager View as

Browser
iPad, Windows

To view a report’s calendar, select the checkbox next to a user’s name. These display in the sidebar at the left of the page, under the My Team heading.

Calls and activities from the shared calendar display along with the manager’s activities in My Schedule. Entries from the report’s calendar display with a black border and are view-only, regardless of the manager’s object permission.

Visibility to entries on the report’s calendar is based on standard object-level security—for example, if a manager does not have read object permission for the em\_event\_\_v object, Events Management records do not display when viewing a report’s calendar.

Manager View is not supported for [Call Cycle View](../Scheduling/CallCycles.htm). Additionally, [unassigned presentations](../../Multichannel/CLM/TrackingCLM/SaveforLater.htm) do not display when viewing other users’ calendars.

To view entry details, select an entry from the calendar. A popover displays.

To view additional information about the user, hover over the user’s name. A popover displays identifying information.

When viewing a report’s Outlook calendars in My Schedule, only entries from the report’s Vault CRM calendar and from the report’s default Outlook calendar display.

#### Deselecting Calendars

Managers can deselect their own calendars in the My Calendars section of My Schedule. This enables them to only see calendar entries from the other user's calendar. To view their own entries again, the manager can simply reselect their own calendar.

To use manager view on the iPad or Windows platforms:

1. Select the **gear icon** to display calendar options.

2. Select the user's name below the **Internal Calendars** option to display a list of available calendars.

3. Select the appropriate calendar.

4. Select **Apply** (iPad only; changes are automatically applied on the Windows platform).

Only the report’s calendar displays; the manager’s entries do not display when viewing a report’s calendar. External calendar events from the report's calendar do not display.
