## Displaying Call Conflict Warnings

Call conflict warnings display to help users avoid repeating visits to an account within a short period of time. The call conflict icon displays in My Schedule to identify calls to the same account within a specified time period. To align with differing business practices, admins can modify the time period where call conflict warnings display.

### Configuring Call Conflict Warnings for

[![Closed](../../../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)End Users](#)

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Call Planning](../CPConfig.htm) is complete.
2. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > veeva\_settings\_\_v**.
3. Populate the **call\_scheduleconflict\_threshold\_\_v** Veeva Setting with a value between 0 and 3.

* 0 = No conflict control. Call conflict warnings are disabled.
* 1 = Call conflict warning displays if another call is present on the selected date
* 2 = Call conflict warning displays if another call is present one day before or after the selected date
* 3 = Call conflict warning displays if another call is present within two days before or after the selected date

To display the call conflict indicator on call reports, in addition to My Schedule:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
2. Select the appropriate permission set.
3. Select the **Objects** tab.
4. Grant users Read field permission to the **call\_conflict\_status\_\_v** field control on the call2\_\_v object.
5. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > call2\_\_v > Layouts**.
6. Place the **call\_conflict\_status\_\_v** field control on the call2\_\_v layout to display warnings on the call report.

If the call\_scheduleconflict\_threshold\_\_v Veeva Setting is set to 0, do not add the call\_conflict\_status\_\_v field control to call2\_\_v layouts. In order to work properly, this control should only be added to the layout when call conflict warnings are enabled with the values 1, 2, or 3.

### Viewing Call Conflict Warnings as

[![Closed](../../../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)End Users](#)

When users create calls, all non-child calls for the selected account are evaluated within the set call conflict threshold. If any users in the organization already created a call for the same account within the call conflict threshold, the call conflict icon displays. Call conflict icons display in all My Schedule views except for Call Cycle View. If the call\_conflict\_status\_\_v field control is on the call2\_\_v layout, call conflict warnings display on call reports.

Child calls are not considered for call conflicts.
