## Displaying the Negative Sample Warning Indicator

Displaying a negative sample warning indicator on call reports and sample transaction records helps users avoid disbursing or transferring more samples than are in their inventory for a given sample lot.

#### Validation Disclaimer

On the Windows platform, this feature is released without validation for sampling. The feature requires enablement and does not affect other Vault CRM functionality. It was extensively tested by our QA team during the development and release process and will go through validation at a later date.

### Configuring the Negative Sample Warning Indicator for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure the following configuration is complete:
   * [Configuring Call Sampling](../Config/ConfiguringCS.htm)
   * [Configuring Products for Call Sampling](../Config/ConfiguringProductsCS.htm)
   * [Configuring Sample Requests (BRCs)](../Config/ConfiguringBRCs.htm), if using BRCs
2. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > veeva\_settings\_\_v**.
3. Select the checkbox for the **enable\_neg\_sample\_indicator\_\_v** Veeva Setting.

### Viewing the Negative Sample Warning Indicator as

When users enter a sample quantity higher than the quantity in their inventory, a warning indicator displays next to the quantity field on the call report. To dismiss the warning, users can either reduce the quantity or select a different sample lot.
