## Sampling Non-PDMA Regulated Products

Users can disburse non-PDMA product samples without capturing a signature or sample card number. Products not included in PDMA (Prescription Drug Marketing Act) regulations, for example, over the counter products, have less stringent requirements for sampling and HCP licensure. License information is not required; accounts do not need a value of Valid in the license\_valid\_to\_sample\_\_v and sample\_status\_\_v fields on the address\_\_v object to receive samples, unlike when [Sampling without License Restrictions](NoLicenseRestrictions.htm) is enabled. This functionality enables users to bypass license and signature requirements on the call report, while still using Sample Inventory, Sample Transactions, and all other sample functionality.

#### Validation Disclaimer

On the Browser and Windows platforms, this feature is released without validation for sampling. The feature requires enablement and does not affect other Vault CRM functionality. It was extensively tested by our QA team during the development and release process and will go through validation at a later date.

### Configuring Sampling Non-PDMA Regulated Products for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure the following configuration is complete:
   * [Configuring Call Sampling](../Config/ConfiguringCS.htm)
   * [Configuring Products for Call Sampling](../Config/ConfiguringProductsCS.htm)
   * [Configuring Sample Requests (BRCs)](../Config/ConfiguringBRCs.htm), if using BRCs
2. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > call2\_\_v > Layouts**.
3. Enable the **Non-PDMA Sampling** section attribute for the samples\_section\_\_v section on the appropriate call2\_\_v layouts.
4. Remove the **sample\_card\_\_v** and **signature\_date\_\_v** fields from the appropriate call2\_\_v layouts.

### Using Sampling Non-PDMA Regulated Products as

Users can save and submit call reports without capturing a signature or sample card number for product disbursements. If a user has only one sample lot record for a specific product and non-PDMA sampling is enabled, the sample lot number field on the call report automatically defaults to the one available sample lot. On group calls, users can select any call attendee as the sample recipient. Non-PDMA sampling applies to the following product types, which typically require signature capture:

* BRCs
* For BRC disbursements, users can select any active address as the ship-to address
* Samples
* Alternative Samples
* High Value Promotional Items
