## Displaying Country-Specific Disclaimers

Customers with multi-country operations can display disclaimer text on signature pages based on the country of an account. Because signing accounts and users may speak different primary languages, users can select the language for signature consent and disclaimer text directly on the signature page. For organizations where one Security Profile is shared across different countries, and these countries each have unique regulations requiring specific disclaimer content, this feature also enables the appropriate disclaimer text to display based on the signing account’s country.

   | account\_\_v | R | All applicable object types | vcountry\_\_v | Read |
   | signature\_page\_\_v | R | * consent\_\_v * disclaimer\_\_v | * active\_\_v * disclaimer\_text\_\_v * disclaimer\_country\_\_v * language\_\_v * signature\_page\_\_v | Read |
   | user\_\_sys | R | n/a | * country\_code\_\_v * language\_\_sys | Read |
   | vcountry\_\_v | R | n/a | alpha\_2\_code\_\_v | Read |
6. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > signature\_page\_\_v**.
7. Create signature\_page\_\_v records using the disclaimer\_\_v object type, for the relevant countries and desired disclaimer languages. When creating a signature\_page\_\_v record for country-specific disclaimers, complete the following fields:

* active\_\_v - Select the active\_\_v checkbox to mark the record as active
* disclaimer\_country\_\_v - Select the country code for the country where the disclaimer should be displayed
* language\_\_v - Select the disclaimer language
* signature\_page\_\_v - Select the signature page where the disclaimer should display.

Business admins must create records on the signature\_page\_\_v object. If users are granted read object permission for the signature\_page\_\_v object but there are no records on the signature\_page\_\_v object, the disclaimer does not display.

8. Create signature\_page\_\_v records using the consent\_\_v object type, for the desired consent languages.
9. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > vmobile\_object\_configuration\_\_v**.
10. Enable the following VMOCs for all desired offline platforms, and if VMOCs do not exist, create them:

    | VMOC | Sync Type | WHERE clause | Lookup |
    | --- | --- | --- | --- |
    | signature\_page\_\_v | Full Sync | n/a | n/a |
    | vcountry\_\_v | Full Sync | n/a | n/a |
    | vlanguage\_\_v | Full Sync | n/a | n/a |

### Using Country-Specific Disclaimers as

[![Closed](../../../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)End Users](#)

Users select the appropriate disclaimer language directly on the signature page, from the Language picklist. The language options available for selection are based on the available disclaimer languages configured for each country. For Consent text, the language displayed is the same as the language selected for the disclaimer.

The language values available in the language\_\_v selection picklist are displayed in alphabetical order by translated value. The disclaimer language defaults as follows:

* If only one disclaimer exists, that disclaimer displays
* If the disclaimer exists in more than one language and there is a match between the language\_\_v field on the user\_\_sys object and the language\_\_v field on the signature\_page\_\_v object, a disclaimer in the corresponding language displays
* If the disclaimer exists in more than one language but there is not a match between the user’s language and the signature page’s language, then the disclaimer displays in the first language based on sort order
* If the value in the country\_code\_\_v field on the user's user\_\_sys record does not match existing consent or disclaimer records, and there are no consent or disclaimer records with a null value for the disclaimer\_country\_\_v field, the consent and disclaimer do not display

To be available as a disclaimer option, the disclaimer's Signature Page record must meet the following conditions:

* The object type is disclaimer\_\_v
* The Active checkbox is selected
* The Signature Page field value matches the signature page the user is viewing. For example, if the Signature Page value is Call\_Sample, the disclaimer is available on signature pages for call sample disbursements. If the Signature Page field value is Contract, the disclaimer is available on Contract signature pages.
