## Configuring Call Objectives

### Configuring Call Objectives for

To configure this module:

1. Ensure [Configuring Call Reporting](../Call_Reporting_2/ConfiguringCR.htm) is complete.
2. Create a call\_objective\_\_v tab, if the tab does not already exist:

* Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Tabs**
* Create a tab for the **call\_objective\_\_v** object

3. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
4. Select the appropriate permission set.
5. Select the **Objects** tab.
6. Grant the following permissions:

   | call\_objective\_\_v | CRED | All applicable object types | * account\_\_v * call2\_\_v * comment\_\_v * completed\_flag\_\_v * from\_date\_\_v * non\_executable\_\_v * on\_by\_default\_\_v * one\_click\_completion\_\_v * parent\_objective\_\_v * title\_\_v * to\_date\_\_v | Edit |
   | call2\_\_v | CRE | n/a\* | call\_objective\_section\_\_v | Read |
   | tsf\_\_v | R | All applicable object types | allowed\_products\_\_v | Read |

   \*Ensure business admin users are granted access to the appropriate object types when [Configuring Call Reporting](../Call_Reporting_2/ConfiguringCR.htm).
7. Select the **Tabs** tab.
8. Grant View access to the **call\_objective\_\_v** tab.

To configure this module:

1. Ensure [Configuring Call Reporting](../Call_Reporting_2/ConfiguringCR.htm) is complete.
2. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
3. Select the appropriate permission set.
4. Select the **Objects** tab.
5. Grant the following permissions:

   \*Ensure end users are granted access to the appropriate object types when [Configuring Call Reporting](../Call_Reporting_2/ConfiguringCR.htm).
6. Grant View access to the **call\_objective\_section\_\_v** section control on the call2\_\_v object.
7. Create an **action\_plan\_\_c** object type for Call Objectives and grant users access to the object type:

* Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > call\_objective\_\_v**
* Select the **Object Types** tab
* Create an object type called **action\_plan\_\_c** on the call\_objective\_\_v object
* Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**
* Select the appropriate permission set
* Select the **Objects** tab
* Grant CRED access to the **action\_plan\_\_c** object type on the call\_objective\_\_v object

8. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > call\_objective\_\_v**.
9. Select the **Layouts** tab.
10. Select the Display as Read-Only checkbox for the **completed\_flag\_\_v** field on all call\_objective\_\_v layouts. This field is automatically selected when a call is submitted and should always be read-only on the call\_objective\_\_v layout for end users.
11. Place the **call\_objective\_section\_\_v** section control on call2\_\_v layouts:

* Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > call2\_\_v**
* Select the **Layouts** tab
* Create a new section on the appropriate call2\_\_v layouts, using the **call\_objective\_section\_\_v** section control

12. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > veeva\_settings\_\_v**.
13. Enable **Veeva Settings** for Call Objectives:

* Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > veeva\_settings\_\_v**
* Select the **enable\_offline\_call\_objectives\_\_v**  Veeva Setting checkbox to enable Call Objectives for mobile device users
* Edit the number in the **call\_objectives\_alert\_threshold\_days\_\_v**  Veeva Setting to customize when Call Objective alerts display to users (optional). For example, if this value is 10, alerts display for Call Objectives beginning 10 days before they are due.
  + If the value is 0, alerts display on the day the objective is due
  + If the value is blank or a negative number, alerts do not display
* Enter a call object type label in the **objective\_call\_record\_type\_\_v**  Veeva Setting to specify a default call object type for calls created directly from Call Objectives (optional). If this setting is not populated, calls are created with the default object type for the user's profile.

14. Navigate to **Business Admin > vmobile\_object\_configuration\_\_v**.
15. Ensure VMOCs are active for the **call\_objective\_\_v** object.
