## Call Objectives Overview

Call Objectives are used to create to-do lists for users and efficiently coordinate tasks across teams. A Call Objective is a task users must complete as part of a call to a specific account during a defined period of time. Users can view Call Objectives from the Call Objectives tab or the call report. To take action on Call Objectives, record a call from the list of Call Objectives or add Call Objectives to an existing call report. When [Account Plans](../AccountPlanning/ManageAcctPlans/Account_Plans.htm) are in use, Prerequisite Call Objectives can be leveraged to divide long-term Account Plans into smaller tasks for individual users to complete.

In addition to standard Call Objectives, the following Call Objective types are available:

* Default enabled Call Objectives - Emphasize the importance of certain Call Objectives by designating the objective as default enabled
* Recurring Call Objectives - Enable users to complete a Call Objective multiple times within a defined time period
* One-click Call Objectives - Enable users to quickly complete simple tasks that do not require additional details
* CLM Call Objectives - Direct users to display a specific piece of CLM content when visiting a particular account

For organization using Account Plans, action items offer a more flexible, less formal alternative to Call Objectives when defining to-do lists for team members. See [Using Action Items on the Call Report](../Call_Reporting_2/Executing/Activities/ActionItems.htm) for more information.

Call Objectives allows three types of users to perform the following actions:

* **Business Admin Users** - Business admin users enable Call Objectives for all other types of users
* **End Users** - End users view and complete Call Objectives in Vault CRM
* **Key Account Managers (KAMs)** - KAMs use Prerequisite Call Objectives to coordinate progress towards larger Account Plan goals across multiple team members
