## Configuring Campaign Manager

Initial configuration includes the setup of all default functionality for Campaign Manager.

To configure this feature:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
2. Select the appropriate permission set.
3. Select the **Objects** tab.
4. Grant the following permissions:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > campaign\_activity\_target\_execution\_\_v > Object Types > recommended\_email\_publishing\_\_v**.
2. Ensure the object type is active.

1. Ensure the following features are configured:

   * [Using the My Setup Tab](../../Products/MySetupPage.htm)
   * [Creating and Assigning Territories](../../TerritoryManagement/AssignAccts/CreateTerr.htm) - Ensure the Marketing User is assigned directly to territories for all accounts they want to target in a campaign or journey
   * [Creating a Sending Domain](../../Multichannel/ApprovedEmail/ConfiguringAE/CreateSendingDomain.htm)
2. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
3. Select the appropriate permission set.
4. Select the **Objects** tab.
5. Grant the following permissions:

6. Navigate to the **Application** tab of the permission set.
7. Select the following check boxes:

   * Access API
   * View User Information
   * User Filters
8. Navigate to the **Tabs** tab of the permission set.
9. Grant View permission to the following items:

   * The Campaign Manager tab collection
   * The following tabs:
   * Home
   * Campaigns
   * Accounts
10. Navigate to the **Pages** tab of the permission set.
11. Grant View access to the following pages:

    * Campaign Manager
    * Campaigns
    * Home
12. Edit the appropriate user\_\_sys records.
13. Select Marketing for the **user\_type\_\_v** field.
14. Ensure the user's vcountry\_\_v field is populated.
15. Ensure the user is assigned to all territories in the Vault CRM instance. This ensures correct account access and visibility.
16. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Domains**.
17. Select **Create**.
18. Create the appropriate sending domain. See [Creating a Sending Domain](../../Multichannel/ApprovedEmail/ConfiguringAE/CreateSendingDomain.htm) for more information on best practices when creating sending domains.
19. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Email Addresses**.
20. Select **Create**.
21. Enter the following information:
    1. Name - Enter the appropriate name
    2. Status = Active
    3. Domain - Select the appropriate domain
    4. Email Username - The email address that displays to recipients of emails sent via Campaign Manager
    5. External Display Name - The name that displays to recipients of emails sent via Campaign Manager
    6. Application Target = Campaign Manager
22. Select **Save**.
23. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > account\_\_v > Layouts**.
24. Place the **level\_cda\_\_v** field on the appropriate layouts.
