Tiles and names for up to ten of the most recently edited email templates display. To display in this section, the approved\_document\_\_v record representing the template must meet all of the following requirements:

* approved\_document\_status\_\_v = approved\_\_v
* status\_\_v = active\_\_v
* One of the following object types
* email\_template\_\_v
* campaign\_manager\_template\_\_v
* Respects the user's assigned products via [My Setup](../../Products/MySetupPage.htm)
* The following fields must be populated:
* email\_subject\_\_v
* vault\_document\_id\_\_v
* vault\_instance\_id\_\_v

Thumbnails for each template display, enabling marketing users to quickly identify the correct template.

Users require Read permission to the document\_thumbnail\_\_v field on the approved\_document\_\_v object to view thumbnails.

Hovering over a template displays an option to preview the complete template, enabling users to ensure they select the correct template.

A View All tile also displays, unless all available templates already display. Select the View All tile to view all available templates. Users can perform the following actions to identify the correct template:

* Approved Document Name
* Product
* Content Type
* Description
* Select a column header to sort the list of results based on that column

4. Select the **Create Email Activity** button.

#### Switching to the Journey Builder for Existing Journeys

Multi-action journeys add Email actions from the [Builder](Builder.htm) tab by default. To switch journeys created prior to the 26R1.4 release to the [Journey Builder](Builder.htm), select the Switch to Journey Builder link in the Add Details section of the Overview sub-tab.

Selecting this link removes all existing flows, actions, and segmentation.

1. Navigate to the appropriate campaign or journey.
2. In the Add Details section, hover over the email template image and select Preview. Or, in the [Builder](Builder.htm) tab, select the Preview button in the Action Details side panel.

3. Use the **Preview as** drop-down to preview the email template as one of the first five targets in the target list.

   Any tokens in the template automatically render based on the selected target. When hovering over the template, rendered tokens display in blue, except for image tokens and tokens used in the Subject of the template.

   Hover over a rendered token to display the token name. Reset the template by selecting the blank picklist value in the drop-down. The following token types are not supported when previewing an email:

   * [Sent Email Related Tokens](../../Multichannel/ApprovedEmail/CreatingContent/ConfigTokens.htm#Sent)
   * [Text Tokens](../../Multichannel/ApprovedEmail/CreatingContent/ConfigTokens.htm#Text)
   * [Functionality Tokens](../../Multichannel/ApprovedEmail/CreatingContent/ConfigTokens.htm#Function)

   Tokens referencing the user\_\_sys object display based on the owner of the target record for the selected target.
4. Select the **Desktop** and **Mobile** tabs to preview how the email template displays in a desktop or mobile format.
