## Filtering Attendee Results Outside of the User's Territory

Business admin users can configure filters when adding attendees to an event or reconciling walk-in attendees that limit the out-of-territory search results displayed to end users. The following types of filters are available for configuration:

* Only display accounts in the user’s country or the event’s country
* Only display accounts of specific object types

Filtering these accounts prevents irrelevant accounts from displaying while maintaining compliance requirements regarding HCP data restrictions across borders.

3. **Create** or **Edit** the appropriate Attendee Fields type Event Rule.

When end users either search for attendees to add to an event, or search for accounts to reconcile a walk-in attendee to, the list of outside territory search results automatically filters based on the fields configured by the business admin on the corresponding event rule.

For example, the end user is reconciling walk-in attendees from a Congress event in France. The event rule for Congresses states only professional\_\_v type accounts in the same country as the event display as potential matches for reconciliation. The user searches for matches for a walk-in attendee named Clint Ackerman. Clinton Ackerman, a professional in France, displays as a potential match, while Clint Ackerman, a pharmacist in France, and Clinten Ackerman, a professional in the United States, do not display to the end user as a potential match.
