## Requiring Authentication When Exiting the Digital Sign-in Sheet

For security purposes, admins can require that end users exiting the digital sign-in sheet authenticate using their device's configured authentication method. This adds an additional layer of security when exiting the digital sign-in sheet.

### Configuring the Digital Sign In Sheet for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Using the Digital Sign-in Sheet](DigitalSignInSheet.htm) is complete.
2. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
3. Select the appropriate permission set.
4. Select the **Objects** tab.
5. Grant the following permissions:

   | Object | Object Permission | Object Types | Fields | Field Permission |
   | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
   | veeva\_settings\_\_v | R | n/a | auth\_for\_exiting\_signature\_pages\_\_v | Read |
6. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > Veeva Settings** and edit the appropriate record.

   This feature is supported when using both Global Settings and profile-specific settings. See [Veeva Settings](../../Getting_Started/SettingUp/VeevaCustomSettings.htm) for more information.
7. Populate the **Auth for Exiting Signature Pages** picklist with **Device Authentication**.

When end users [exit the digital sign-in sheet](DigitalSignInSheet.htm#Exiting), they are prompted to reauthenticate using their device's [configured authentication method](../../Getting_Started/Security/SecurityVaultCRM.htm#Authenti) before the event record displays and navigation to the rest of Vault CRM is restored.
