## Creating Event Notes

To help better organize the planning, execution, and closeout of their events, event organizers can create note records associated with their events. These notes support rich-text formatting, enabling creating helpful and informative event notes.

### Configuring Event Notes for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Events Management](../Configuration/Config.htm) is complete.
2. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
3. Select the appropriate permission set.
4. Select the **Objects** tab.
5. Grant the following permissions:

   | Object | Object Permission | Object Types | Fields | Field Permission |
   | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
   | em\_event\_note\_\_v | CRED | n/a | All Fields | Edit |
6. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > em\_event\_\_v > Layouts**.
7. Place the **Event Notes** related object section on the appropriate layouts.
8. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > vmobile\_object\_configuration\_\_v**.
9. Activate the appropriate VMOCs for the **em\_event\_note\_\_v** object.

### Creating Event Notes as

To create notes for an event:

1. Navigate to the **Event Notes** section of the appropriate event.
2. Select the **+ New Event Note** button.
3. Populate the following fields:

   * Status – Select Active
   * Title – Enter the appropriate note title
   * Body – Use the Rich Text Editor to enter the appropriate note text

4. Select **Save**.

Event Notes can be edited and deleted the same as any standard Vault record.
