## Configuring Inventory Monitoring

Inventory Monitoring includes the following components:

#### inventory\_monitoring\_\_v

Contains the object header information for an Inventory Monitoring record, for example, the account and date for which the record was captured, object type, contract, and status.

#### inventory\_monitoring \_line\_\_v

Contains the individual product information and the data captured for the Inventory Monitoring record, for example, facing quantities, product position, and pharmacy inventory.

#### product\_\_v

Allows users to capture Inventory Monitoring information on product types most relevant for their business.

### Configuring Inventory Monitoring for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure the following are complete:

* [Configuring Accounts](../Accounts/AcctConfig.htm)
* [Configuring the Product Catalog](../Products/ConfigProduct.htm)
* [Configuring Call Reporting](../Call_Reporting_2/ConfiguringCR.htm) (if using Call as an entry point)

2. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
3. Select the appropriate permission set.
4. Select **Objects**.
5. Grant the following permissions:

   | Object | Object Permissions | Object Types | Fields | Field Permissions |
   | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
   | account\_\_v | n/a | n/a | inventory\_monitoring\_type\_\_v | Edit |
   | inventory\_monitoring\_\_v | CRED | inventory\_monitoring\_\_v | All | Edit |
   | inventory\_monitoring\_line\_\_v | CRED | inventory\_monitoring\_\_v | All | Edit |
6. Grant Execute permission to the **copy\_\_v**, **submit\_\_v**, and **unlock\_\_v** actions on the inventory\_monitoring\_\_v object.

   Unlock is available on Browser only and should only be granted to admins.
7. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects**.

   * Select the **account\_\_v** object
   * Select **Layouts**
   * Select the appropriate layout
   * Add the **inventory\_monitoring\_type\_\_v** field
   * Add the **default\_inventory\_monitoring\_type\_\_v** field
   * Add the **inventory\_monitorings\_\_v** related object section to the layout
   * Ensure **Create record in new page** is selected for the Creation Option
8. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects**.

   * Select the **product\_\_v** object
   * Select **Layouts**
   * Select the appropriate layout
   * Add the **inventory\_monitoring\_\_v** field control to the layout

To configure this feature:

6. Grant Execute permission to the **copy\_\_v** and **submit\_\_v** actions on the inventory\_monitoring\_\_v object.
7. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects**.

   * Select the **account\_\_v** object
   * Select **Layouts**
   * Select the appropriate layout
   * Add the **inventory\_monitorings\_\_v** related object section to the layout
   * Ensure **Create record in new page** is selected for the Creation Option
8. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects**.
9. Select **vmobile\_object\_configuration\_\_v**.
10. Enable the following VMOCs for the appropriate mobile devices:
    * inventory\_monitoring\_\_v
    * Select the **Include Attachments** checkbox
    * inventory\_monitoring\_line\_\_v
    * currency\_sys
