## Capturing Approved Email Opt-In Consent

End users are able to capture opt-in consent from an account to be able to immediately send an Approved Email to that account. Opt-in consent needs to be captured in the following cases:

* The account's [consent type](ClassicConsentComponents.htm#Consent) is Opt-in Required
* The account previously unsubscribed or opted out of material the end user wants to send

Capturing opt-in consent is available from the following entry points:

* The All Actions menu of the account
* The Approved Email send page

Capturing opt-in consent immediately overrides all opt-out records associated with the account and email address pair, enabling end users to send Approved Emails to the account.

[![Closed](../../../../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)Consent Users](#)

By default, all Approved Email end users can capture opt-in consent. However, depending on the organization of the customer, admins can configure a group of users who are not able to send Approved Emails, but can capture and manage opt-in consent. This group of users are called consent users and they are solely responsible for the management of account opt-in consent, enabling end users of Approved Email to focus on the sending and composition of emails.

To configure the ability for a different group of users to capture opt-in consent, grant CRED access to the **multichannel\_consent\_\_v** object.

To configure the ability for a different group of users to capture opt-in consent, remove either Create or Edit access to the **multichannel\_consent\_\_v** object.

End users must retain Read access to the multichannel\_consent\_\_v object to use Approved Email.

* APPROVED\_EMAIL\_CONSENT\_TEXT – Displays next to the checkbox on the opt-in screen
* APPROVED\_EMAIL\_DISCLAIMER\_REQUIRED – Displays the disclaimer
