## Matching Products for Approved Email Content

Approved Email content must be associated to a product in Vault PromoMats / MedComms, and a corresponding product must exist in Vault CRM. To match Products from Vault PromoMats / MedComms to the Product records in Vault CRM, the external IDs must be specified for both the product\_\_v object in Vault PromoMats / MedComms and the product\_\_v object in Vault CRM.

#### Defining External IDs in CRM

1. Navigate to a **product\_\_v** record.
2. Enter a value in the **vexternal\_id\_\_v** field that corresponds to an existing product in the Product Catalog (product\_\_v object). This field must be unique and is case insensitive.

   For example, Cholecap's VExternal ID might be cholecap\_externalId.
3. Repeat this process for all product\_\_v records that will have Approved Email content aligned to them.

#### Defining External IDs in Vault PromoMats / MedComms

1. Navigate to the **Product Catalog** in Vault.
2. Enter an External ID for each product in the Vault Product Catalog. External IDs must match the vexternal\_id\_\_v field on the corresponding product\_\_v record in CRM.

   For example, if Cholecap's VExternal Id in CRM is cholecap\_externalId, then the External ID of Cholecap in Vault must also be cholecap\_externalId.

When connecting multiple CRM orgs to one instance of Vault, each connected Vault must contain a complete list of external IDs defined in the Vault product catalog. To work around this limitation, the [Vault Login Credential Management section](../ConfiguringAE/AECRMVaultIntegration.htm) enables admins to define queries to only sync certain products from Vault to that Vault.

The IN operator is not supported by this query.

#### Matching Products by Country

To enable product matching by country, populate the vexternal\_id\_\_v field on the product\_\_v object in Vault CRM with a concatenated value. This value should be a concatenation of:

* the external\_id\_\_v of the product\_\_v object (from PromoMats/MedComms)
* the external\_id\_\_v of the country\_\_v object (from PromoMats/MedComms)

Use a double colon (::) as the separator. For example: Cholecap\_Ext::US\_Ext
