## Setting the Content Target Platform for HTML Content

* Object Model

Vault CRM supports HTML content in CLM developed for Veeva CRM and Vault CRM. CLM content developed for Veeva CRM uses Veeva CRM API names and the Veeva CRM version of the Multichannel JavaScript library. CLM content developed for Vault CRM uses Vault API names and the Vault CRM version of the Multichannel JavaScript library. To allow both types of HTML content to function correctly in Vault CRM, content creators must set the appropriate content target platform for the content in PromoMats/MedComms. The selected content target platform must match the JavaScript library file used in the content. To configure this feature:

1. Grant Edit field permission to the **target\_platform\_\_v** field on the key\_message\_\_v object.
2. Navigate to **CRM Setup > Content Setup > CLM Administration Console**.
3. Update the field mapping for the appropriate PromoMats/MedComms connection to ensure the target\_platform\_\_v field in CRM is mapped to the crm\_target\_platform\_\_v field in PromoMats/MedComms.

If integration users are not configured and the default value of the target\_platform\_\_v field in CRM is vault\_\_v for all key messages, then the target\_platform\_\_v is auto-populated with vault\_\_v on key message records and key messages for all HTML content displays as developed for Vault CRM.

To configure this feature, grant Read field permission to the **target\_platform\_\_v** field on the key\_message\_\_v object.

When creating or editing CLM content in PromoMats/MedComms, content creators must set the content target platform according to the API names and JavaScript library used in the content. Content creators must populate the field on each Multichannel Slide document in a Multichannel Presentation.

To set the content target for CLM content:

1. Navigate to a **Multichannel Slide** document in a Multichannel Presentation.
2. Select **Edit**.
3. Select the appropriate value for the **crm\_target\_platform\_\_v** field. The following values are available:
   * salesforce\_\_v – Indicates the key message is developed for Veeva CRM
   * vault\_\_v – Indicates the key message is developed for Vault CRM

   If left blank, it is interpreted as salesforce\_\_v by default.
4. Select **Save**.
