## Tracking CLM Activity Anonymously

* Object Model

Customers can report on CLM activity in the media player even if an account is not selected or an account that opted out of tracking is selected, allowing CLM activity to be saved and analyzed anonymously.

### Configuring Anonymous CLM Tracking

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring CLM as Object Model](../ConfiguringCLM/CLMBasicConfig.htm) is complete.
2. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
   * Select the appropriate permission set.
   * Select the **Objects** tab.
   * Grant the following permissions:

     | multichannel\_activity\_line\_\_v | CRE | clm\_\_v | + clm\_presentation\_\_v + datetime\_\_v + duration\_\_v + event\_type\_\_v + key\_message\_\_v + key\_message\_vexternal\_id\_\_v + mobile\_id\_\_v + multichannel\_activity\_\_v + object\_type\_\_v + view\_order\_\_v | Edit |
     | name\_\_v | Read |
3. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > Multichannel Activity (multichannel\_activity\_\_v) > Objects Types > CLM (clm\_\_v)**.
4. Select **Edit**.
5. Set the Status to **Active**
6. Select **Save**.
7. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > Multichannel Activity Line (multichannel\_activity\_line\_\_v) > Objects Types > CLM (clm\_\_v)**.
8. Select **Edit**.
9. Set the Status to **Active**
10. Select **Save**.
11. Select the **Fields** tab.
12. Create custom fields for the **multichannel\_activity\_line\_\_v** object to write data from call\_clickstream\_\_v object custom fields to the multichannel\_activity\_\_v object. Populate the field names for the custom fields using the following format:
    * zvod\_cc\_[Field]\_\_c where [Field] matches the field name for the corresponding field on the call\_clickstream\_\_v object

    Custom fields on the multichannel\_activity\_line\_\_v object must correspond to a field on the call\_clickstream\_\_v object to be tracked.
13. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > VMobile Object Configurations** (vmobile\_object\_configuration\_\_v).
14. Ensure **VMOCs** for the following objects are active for the appropriate platform and **Meta Data Only** is selected:
    * multichannel\_activity\_\_v
    * multichannel\_activity\_line\_\_v
15. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > Multichannel Settings** (multichannel\_settings\_\_v).
16. Select the appropriate **multichannel\_settings\_\_v** record.
17. Populate the **Track CLM Media Preview** Multichannel Setting with the appropriate value:
    * 0 or NULL - Do not track use
    * 1 - Track all media player use, including training
    * 2 - Track training use only

When end users display CLM content and then exit the media player but do not have consent to track activity for specific accounts, the CLM activity is saved on multichannel activity and multichannel activity line records without being associated with an account.
