## Using Sub-Presentation Slides

* Document Model

CLM presentations can contain a sub-presentation of required slides that must be shown prior to displaying certain target slides within the main presentation, ensuring users satisfy compliance regulations.

**Who can use this feature?**

* Content Admin Users - Browser
* [Define sub-presentation slides](#Defining)
* End Users - iPad, iPhone
* [Display sub-presentation slides](#Displaying)
* Users do not require an additional license

To configure this feature, ensure [Configuring CLM as Document Model](../DocModelConfig.htm) is complete.

### Defining Sub-Presentation Slides as

[![Closed](../../../../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)Content Admin Users](#)

To define a set of required slides:

1. Create a **Presentation** binder and upload the required Slide documents. This is the sub-presentation. See [Creating CLM Content as Documents](../CreatingContent/ManageDocModel.htm) for more information.
2. Associate the sub-presentation with every **Slide** document that must be preceded by the sub-presentation.
   * Navigate to **All > Library**
   * Navigate to the appropriate **Slide** document
   * Select **Relationships** in the menu on the right
   * Select **Add Related Sub Presentation**
   * Select the **Presentation** binder you just created
   * Select **Save**

Nesting a sub-presentation within another sub-presentation is not supported.

### Displaying Sub-Presentation Slides as

[![Closed](../../../../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)End Users](#)

When a user attempts to view the main presentation slide without viewing the preceding sub-presentation, the first slide in the sub-presentation automatically displays. Once the user has viewed all required slides, they can continue to display the remaining slides in the main presentation.

Required slides are only displayed once in a CLM session. Once the slide is viewed, it does not display again.

A view is captured when either of the following occurs:

* The user displays the slide for more than two seconds
* The user selects a reaction button. The duration timer is reset for each swipe.
