## Configuring WhatsApp Business Messaging in Vault CRM

### Configuring WhatsApp Business Messaging for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Consent Capture](../../../ConsentCapture/CCConfiguration.htm) is complete.
2. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
3. Select the appropriate permission set.
4. Select the **Admin** tab.
5. Grant **Manage User Object** permission in the Users table of the Security section.
6. Select the **Objects** tab.
7. Grant the following permissions:

6. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > Message Template > Layouts**.
7. Copy the standard layouts for the **WhatsApp Message Template** and **Text Only Template** object types. Ensure the custom layouts are set as default. See [Copy a Layout](https://platform.veevavault.help/en/gr/26387/) in Vault Help for more information.
8. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > VMobile Object Configurations**.
9. Ensure VMOCs for the following objects are active:
   * consent\_header\_\_v
   * consent\_type\_\_v
   * engage\_link\_settings\_\_v
   * message\_activity\_\_v
   * message\_template\_\_v
   * message\_template\_content\_\_v
   * message\_template\_business\_account\_\_v
   * messaging\_phone\_number\_\_v
   * messaging\_business\_account\_\_v
   * multichannel\_consent\_\_v
   * multichannel\_route\_\_v
   * sent\_message\_\_v
10. Add the **Primary User**, **Secondary User**, and appropriate end users to the group. See [Assigning Users for New Inbound Chats](ManageWABA.htm#InboundMsg) for more information.

### Considerations

WhatsApp Business Messaging and [Engage chat](../EngageTab.htm) cannot be configured together.
