## Managing ISI and PI Links in Messages for CLM Content Web Links

When users share web links for CLM content, links to the associated Important Safety Information (ISI) and Prescribing Information (PI) documents can be included at the bottom of the web link message. This ensures users satisfy compliance regulations requiring ISI and PI documents to be available to HCPs whenever they view promotional content. When recipients select the ISI and PI links, the documents display in the HCP Content Player.

ISI and PI links are supported when sharing CLM content via Engage chat and third-party messaging apps, but not when sharing content via QR Code®®.

1. Ensure [Configuring CLM as Object Model](../../CLM/ConfiguringCLM/CLMBasicConfig.htm) is complete.
2. Ensure [Sharing CLM Content via Web Link](ShareCLMLink.htm) and [Accessing ISI and PI Documents for CLM Content in the HCP Content Player](ISIPIDoc.htm) are configured.
3. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > Veeva Messages (message\_\_v)**.

5. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > VMobile Object configurations (vmobile\_object\_configuration\_\_v)**.
6. Ensure the **message\_\_v** VMOC does not filter out languages users need for ISI and PI links.

#### Managing ISI and PI Link Text

To manage the text displayed for ISI and PI links, update the following Veeva Messages:

* ISI\_FOOTER;;EngageLink – defines the text for the ISI link
* PI\_FOOTER;;EngageLink – defines the text for the PI link without a boxed warning

[![Closed](../../../../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)CLM Integration Users](#)

Boxed warnings are required warnings for certain products informing users about the risks associated with each product. PI documents can include boxed warnings, which must be included with the PI link when sharing content with HCPs.

In PromoMats/MedComms, to indicate a PI document contains a boxed warning, content admins must select Yes for the contains\_boxed\_warning\_\_v field on the PI document. When the PI document syncs to Vault CRM, the contains\_boxed\_warning\_\_v field on the reference\_document\_\_v record created for the document is automatically selected.

To configure this feature:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets**.
2. Select the appropriate permission set.
3. Navigate to **Objects > Reference Document (reference\_document\_\_v)**.
4. Grant the CLM integration user Edit permission to the **contains\_boxed\_warning\_\_v** field on the reference\_document\_\_v object.
5. Navigate to **CRM Setup > Content Setup > CLM**.
6. Select **View Map** for the appropriate PromoMats/MedComms connection in the Vault Connection Management Section.
7. Select **Compare CRM to Vault** to ensure the contains\_boxed\_warning\_\_v field on the reference\_document\_\_v object in Vault CRM is appropriately mapped to the document field contains\_boxed\_warning\_\_v in PromoMats/MedComms.

### Including ISI and PI Links in Messages for CLM Content Web Links as

[![Closed](../../../../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)End Users](#)

End users can share web links for CLM presentations or websites from the media library or from Engage chat. When end users share a web link, ISI and PI links are included when either of the following is true:

* The selected content is an auto-published presentation, a binder and slides presentation, or an approved website. Both isi\_document\_\_v and pi\_document\_\_v fields are populated on the clm\_presentation\_\_v record.
* The selected content is a custom presentation. At least one of the key messages in the presentation has both the isi\_document\_\_v and pi\_document\_\_v fields populated. The message links to the ISI and PI documents for the first key message in the presentation with both fields populated.

Both the ISI and PI documents must be Approved. If the CLM content is associated with either an ISI document or a PI document, but not both, users cannot share the content via a web link and an error displays.

Only PDF files are supported for ISI and PI documents.

The ISI and PI text is stamped on the sent\_message\_\_v record created when sharing a web link. Interactions with the ISI and PI document links are tracked as message\_activity\_\_v records. Both are associated with the sent\_message\_\_v record for the original CLM content web link.

#### Selecting the Appropriate Link Language

Customers may have ISI and PI links defined in multiple languages. To ensure the message generated for the web link uses the appropriate language, the language of the ISI and PI links is selected based on the following logic:

* If there is a [message template](MessageTemplates.htm) selected, match the language of the message template
* If there is no match to a message template due to one of the following reasons, match the language of the clm\_presentation\_\_v record
* Message templates are not configured
* The user selects No Message
* If there is no match to the language of the clm\_presentation\_\_v record, match the end user's language
* If there is no match to the end user's language, the content cannot be sent

### Tracking ISI and PI Links Sent from Engage Chat as

[![Closed](../../../../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)Business Admin Users](#)

The following needs to be configured to include ISI and PI text for web links sent via Engage chat in imported chat logs:

* [Importing Engage Connect Chat Logs into CRM as Call Records](../Connect/ImportingChatLogsCall.htm) with Web Link for Content selected for the integration
* [Importing Engage Connect Chat Logs into CRM as Chat Messages](../Connect/ImportingChatLogsMessage.htm) with Web Link for Content selected for the integration
