## Payers

Orders placed for accounts may be paid for by another organization. This is the case for large pharmacy chains or medical organizations where locations order products that are paid for by a head office.

For example, and end user records an order for a regional clinic operated by a hospital. Although the regional clinic is placing the order, the order should be paid for by the hospital.

### Configuring Payers for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Order Management](../../OM_Config.htm) is complete.
2. Grant the following permissions:

   | Object | Object Permissions | Object Types | Fields | Field Permissions |
   | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
   | account\_partner\_\_v | CRED | payer\_\_v | All | Edit |
   | order\_\_v | n/a | n/a | payer\_\_v | Edit |

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Order Management](../../OM_Config.htm) is complete.
2. Grant the following permissions:

   | Object | Object Permissions | Object Types | Fields | Field Permissions |
   | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
   | account\_partner\_\_v | R | payer\_\_v | All | Read |
   | order\_\_v | n/a | n/a | payer\_\_v | Edit |
3. Place the **payer\_\_v** field on the order\_\_v layout.

### Creating Payers as

To create a payer:

1. Navigate to the **Account Partners** tab.
2. Select **Create**.
3. Select **Payer** in the Object Type Selector.
4. Select **Continue**.
5. Complete the following fields:
   * name\_\_v
   * account\_\_v
6. Select **Save**.

End Users can select a payer on an order to indicate that the order should be paid for by a different location than the account the order was recorded for.
