## Using Ship To and Billing Addresses

To accommodate different billing and shipping addresses on the same order, end users can select a separate billing address and ship to address for their orders.

For example, a user creates an order for a large company whose billing address is their main headquarters. The order, however, needs to be delivered to a subsidiary at a different address so the user selects the appropriate address for shipping.

To configure this feature, ensure [Configuring Order Management](../../OM_Config.htm) is complete.

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Order Management](../../OM_Config.htm) is complete.
2. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects**.
3. Select **address\_\_v**.
4. Select **Layouts**.
5. Add the **Billing** and **Shipping** address types to the appropriate layout.

To set the Restrictive Address Selector:

1. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > veeva\_settings\_\_v**.
2. Select the appropriate **veeva\_settings\_\_v** record.
3. Select **Edit**.
4. Select the appropriate value for the **restrictive\_address\_selector\_\_v** checkbox:

* Selected - Restrictive Address Selector is enabled. The address is available for selection as Billing Address if the Billing address type is selected on the account. The address is available for selection as Ship to Address if the Shipping address type is selected on the account.
* Deselected - Restrictive Address Selector is disabled. The address is available for selection as Billing Address if the Shipping or Billing address type is selected on the account, or if both are selected.

5. Select **Save**.

To add an address for shipping and/or billing:

1. Ensure [Configuring Accounts](../../../Accounts/AcctConfig.htm) is complete.
2. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > address\_\_v**.
3. Select **Create**.

4. Complete all required fields.
5. Select the **Shipping** and/or **Billing** check boxes in the Address Type section.
6. Select **Save**.

End users can select a Ship To Address and/or Billing Address for an order. If an available address for Ship to Address and/or Billing Address is a Primary Address, it is selected by default.
