## Wholesalers

Wholesales represent third-parties that fulfill orders for accounts. Wholesalers defined through the account partner object can utilize price books, wholesaler priority, and wholesaler best list price.

### Configuring Wholesalers for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Order Management](../../OM_Config.htm) is complete.
2. Grant the following permissions:

   | Object | Object Permissions | Object Types | Fields | Field Permissions |
   | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
   | account\_partner\_\_v | CRED | wholesaler\_\_v | All | Edit |
   | order\_\_v | CRED | transfer\_\_v | All | Edit |
3. Add the **wholesaler\_account\_partner\_\_v** field to the layout for transfer\_\_v object type for order\_\_v.
4. Add the **wholesaler\_\_v** field to the layout for price\_book\_\_v object type for account\_partner\_\_v.

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Order Management](../../OM_Config.htm) is complete.
2. Ensure [Transfer Orders](TransferOrders.htm) is configured.
3. Grant the following permissions:

   | account\_partner\_\_v | R | wholesaler\_\_v | All | Read |
   | order\_\_v | RE | * transfer\_\_v * direct\_\_v (optional) | All | Edit |
4. Add the **price\_book\_\_v** field to the order\_\_v layout to enable users to select a specific price book for the wholesaler. This step is optional.

### Creating Wholesalers as

To create a wholesaler:

1. Navigate to the **Account Partners** tab.
2. Select **Create**.
3. Select **Wholesaler** in the Object Type Selector.
4. Select **Continue**.
5. Complete the following fields:
   * name\_\_v
   * account\_\_v
   * contract \_\_v (optional)
6. Select **Save**.

To link a price book to a wholesaler:

1. Navigate to the **Account Partners** tab.
2. Select **Create**.
3. Select **Price Book** in the Object Type Selector.
4. Select **Continue**.
5. Complete the following fields:
   * name\_\_v
   * account\_\_v
   * wholesaler\_\_v (format is an exact text match to the account partner wholesaler name)
6. Select **Save**.

Users can select a wholesaler on the order header if the wholesaler’s account matches the order account.

If a wholesaler is selected, the wholesaler is included in the criteria for a pricing rule to be assigned within the Account Partner Price Book level of the Pricing Rule Hierarchy. Without a wholesaler selected on the order, a pricing rule must be linked to the account to be considered within the Account Partner Price Book level of the Pricing Rule Hierarchy. With a wholesaler selected, the pricing rule must additionally be linked to the wholesaler as well as the account or just linked to the wholesaler and not to the account:

* The price\_book\_\_v field on the pricing\_rule\_\_v object is equal to the name\_\_v field on the account\_partner\_\_v object on an existing price book account partner record with the account\_\_v field on the account\_partner\_\_v object equals the account\_\_v field on the order\_\_v object and the wholesaler\_\_v field on the account\_partner\_\_v object is equal to the wholesaler\_account\_partner\_\_v field on the order\_\_v object
* The price\_book\_\_v field on the pricing\_rule\_\_v object is equal to the name\_\_v field on the account\_partner\_\_v object on an existing price book account partner record with the wholesaler\_\_vfield on the account\_partner\_\_v object is equal to wholesaler\_account\_partner\_\_v field on the order\_\_v object
