## Manual Allocation of Free Goods

If Manual Allocation of Free Goods is not enabled, all free goods are automatically allocated to the first delivery. Enabling Manual Allocation of Free Goods allows users to choose which deliveries to allocate free goods to reflect the appropriate ratio of free goods to paid goods on the delivery invoice.

### Configuring Manual Allocation of Free Goods for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Order Management](../OM_Config.htm) is complete.
2. Ensure [Mid-Negotiation Delivery Splitting](MidDeliverySplit.htm) is configured.
3. Navigate to **Admin > User & Groups > Permission Sets**.
4. Select the appropriate permission set.
5. Select **Objects > order\_\_v**.
6. Grant view permission to the **free\_good\_splitting\_\_v** control on the order\_\_v object.
7. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects.**
8. Select **order\_\_v.**
9. Select the **Layouts**tab.
10. Select the appropriate layout.
11. Add the **free\_good\_splitting\_section\_\_c** section control to the layout.

When placing an order and splitting into deliveries, the user can select the quantity of free goods to allocate for each delivery. If the remaining amount of free goods for the order is not 0, a warning displays.
