## Free Goods Percentage Pricing Rules

Free Goods Percentage pricing rules define quantities of free goods included with an order. Free Goods are defined as a percentage of the ordered product quantity.

Free Goods Percentage pricing rules can be combined with line level discounts, order level discounts, brand level discounts, and product group level discounts. Free Goods Percentage pricing rules cannot be combined with Free Goods pricing rules.

To configure this feature, ensure [Configuring Order Management](../../OM_Config.htm) is complete.

### Creating Free Goods Percentage Pricing Rules as

To create a Free Goods Percentage pricing rule:

1. Navigate to **Home > Pricing Rules** tab.
2. Select **Create**.
3. Select **Free Goods Percentage Rule** in the Object Type Selector.
4. Select **Continue**.
5. Complete the following fields:
   * name\_\_v
   * product\_\_v (product\_type\_\_v must be order\_\_v or kit\_item\_\_v)
   * start\_date\_\_v
   * end\_date\_\_v
   * comparison\_type\_\_v
   * minimum\_quantity\_\_v
   * maximum\_quantity\_\_v (optional)
   * free\_goods\_percentage\_\_v
   * free\_goods\_percentage\_max\_\_v (optional)
6. Select **Save**.

### Using Free Goods Percentage Pricing Rules as

When products are added to an order, Free Goods Percentage pricing rules can set the free\_goods\_\_v field. The free\_goods\_\_v field is set to quantity\_\_v multiplied by free\_goods\_percentage\_\_v.

For example, if free\_goods\_percentage\_\_v is 20% and quantity\_\_v = 1,000, the free\_goods\_\_v field would be set to 200.

If the free\_goods\_\_v field is on the layout for order\_line\_\_v, the user can manually override the free goods determined by the pricing rules. The free\_goods\_percentage\_\_v cannot exceed free\_goods\_percentage\_max\_\_v.

#### Comparison Type

* If Free Goods Percentage Rule comparison\_type\_\_v equals the product\_quantity\_\_v, quantity\_\_v of the product is considered to determine if the free goods applies
