## Testing Send to Fax Content

Fax admin users can verify fax content is rendered correctly by sending faxes in test mode. This creates a Sent Fax record without actually sending the fax to recipients.

**Who can use this feature?**

* Fax Admin Users — Browser, iPad
* [Testing Send to Fax Content and Functionality](#Testing)
* Users require an Approved Email license

Faxes are sent using test mode whenever the following conditions are met:

* The user is a designated fax admin (the Fax Admin field on the User record is selected)
* The user is in a sandbox Vault CRM instance

When sending faxes using test mode, a Sent Fax record is created in Vault CRM, but the fax is not sent or delivered to the fax number on the account.

Fax admins can emulate every aspect of a real fax transmission, including delivery status, by setting the recipient’s fax number to +19898989898. This sends the fax to a dedicated test number and allows customers in sandbox environments to fully verify the following:

* End-to-end fax delivery status
* The final fax content to be delivered, including the header timestamp added on all delivered fax content

Fax content sent to this test number is processed by our fax service provider, but is not sent to the recipient.
