## Creating X-Pages Using X-Pages Studio

X-Pages Studio allows content creators to build and manage interactive, no-code X-Pages. Pages can be built completely custom or from a template. The Pages home tab displays all the X-Pages created or managed by users in the vault.

Content creators can:

* Create an X-Page - Build a custom X-Page from scratch
* Create an X-Page from a template - Start with a template from the [Studio Template Library](PageTemplates/Templates.htm)
* Create an X-Page from a file - Upload a Veeva-approved zip file to manage and deploy an X-Page
* Create a custom X-Page from a file - Upload an external developer-built zip file to manage and deploy an X-Page

In addition to content creator permissions, X-Pages Studio admins can also:

* Import a custom X-Page from CRM - Bring deployed X-Pages into X-Pages Studio for centralized management

3. Enter a name in the **Page Name** field. The Page Name displays in the Sunrise bar tab for the deployed page. The Page Name can be updated when the page is deployed.
4. Add a **Description** to help identify the page. This step is optional.
5. Select a **Page Type** from the drop-down list. The page type represents a group of X-Pages entry points.
6. Select a **Test User** for previewing content. The test user’s permissions are used for the data palette and layout preview, to ensure content displays as desired.
7. Select a **Test Record** of the relevant object, if applicable. The test record displays dynamically depending on the selected page type and test user.
8. Select **Create**.

Once the new page is created, users can [add data](AddData.htm) to it and [define the layout](DefineLayout.htm).

Content creators can preview an X-Page to see how it displays when deployed on mobile devices or in a supported internet browser. X-Pages Studio-generated content matches the UI styling of the supported platform in which it is displayed.

To preview content:

1. Select the **Preview** tab.
2. Select the appropriate icon for iPad, iPhone, or Browser, or Windows to preview content as it displays in the selected platform with the appropriate UI styling.
