Managing Align Production Settings
Align Production Settings enable either global or Field Force-specific settings via the Production Settings page in the Align Admin tab. These two Vault Tabs are disabled by default and must be configured before users can view and access the tabs.
Configuration
To enable the Align Admin and Production Settings tabs:
- Select Admin.
- Select Users & Groups.
- Select Permission Sets.
- Select the user group for users who should manage settings.
- Select Tabs.
- Enable the Align Admin and Production Settings tabs.
- Settings are considered enabled when the status__v field is set to Active.
- The Settings object does not support custom fields, custom page layouts, or custom list views. Any adjustment made to these areas can be overwritten in a subsequent release.
Configuring Global Settings
Align permits a single Global Setting record applying to all entities without a Field Force-specific setting record. A settings record is considered global if the Field Force field is not populated.
Only one global settings record can be active.
Configuring Field Force Specific Settings
Any global align setting can be overridden using field force settings. Field force settings apply to an entire specified Field Force.
If a Field Force-specific setting is left blank, the Global Setting is used instead. Blank Field Force-specific settings do not override populated Global Settings.
For example, a setting’s value is A in the Global Settings but has a value of B in the Field Force settings of the current user. For the current user, the value of the setting is B.
Each Field Force can have only one active settings record.
