Business Events Overview
Business Events provides a structured method for tracking Early Postmarketing Phase Vigilance (EPPV) and Package Insert (PI) engagements through automatically generated tasks and schedules. Field users can easily plan and document required visits, while business leaders gain visibility into coverage status across target lists.
This module supports configurable schedules, automatic task generation, target cancellation, and target reopening — making it easy for field users to understand and complete their upcoming tasks, and reducing administrative burden for the organization.
Not all features are available on all platforms. For a list of available platforms for each feature, see Platform Functionality.
Business Events support the following user types and roles:
- Business Admin Users - Administer Business Event tracking for all other users:
- Create key records to define the monitoring cycle:
- Business Event Schedule - Define the frequency and characteristics of Business Event visits
- Business Events - Define the events requiring monitoring visits
- Business Event Targets - Define the accounts or child account requiring monitoring visits as part of the event
- Reassign target ownership as needed—for example, after territory reassignments
- Reopen canceled targets
- End Users - Complete required EPPV or PI visits and track completion in Vault CRM. For targets which are no longer applicable, end users can cancel the Business Event series directly from the call report or from a Business Event Task record.
