Setting Prerequisite Call Objectives
To structure Account Plan goals and major action items, Key Account Managers can set Prerequisite Call Objectives. Prerequisite Call Objectives must be completed before any other Call Objectives in the Account Plan can be executed. Because Account Plans are often executed by a team of end users, designating Prerequisite Call Objectives helps coordinate progress towards larger Account Plan goals across multiple team members.

Configuring Prerequisite Call Objectives for

To configure this feature:

Ensure Configuring Call Objectives is complete and Account Plans are enabled.
- Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets.
- Select the appropriate permission set.
- Select the Objects tab.
- Grant Key Account Managers Edit field permission to the prerequisite__v and the non_executable__v fields on the call_objective__v object.
- Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > call_objective__v.
- Select the Layouts tab.

Place the prerequisite__v and non_executable__v fields on the appropriate call_objective__v object layouts.
The prerequisite__v and non_executable__v fields on the call_objective__v object are read only for iPad, even if edit field permission is granted.
Using Prerequisite Call Objectives as

Call objectives must meet the following criteria to be a prerequisite:
- A prerequisite call objective must be in the same account plan as its dependent call objective
- A call objective can only have one prerequisite. However, a prerequisite can be assigned to more than one call objective.
- The start date for the dependent call objective (the call objective with the prerequisite assigned) must be before the prerequisite call objective
To set a Call Objective as a Prerequisite, select the lookup icon next to the Prerequisite field when creating or editing a Call Objective. A pop-up displays allowing users to search for and select an eligible Call Objective to set as a Prerequisite.
A prerequisite can only be one of the following Call Objective types:
- Standard - Fill out fields, no customizations
- Standard - One click (on_by_default__v check box is selected on the Call Objective record)
- Special Type - associated with CLM, Contracts, or Inventory Monitoring, based on object type
The following cannot be a Prerequisite Call Objective:
- Recurring Call Objectives (recurring__v field on the Call Objective is selected)
- Early Postmarketing Phase Vigilance (Call Objectives using the eppv__v object type)
- Package Inserts (Call Objectives using the pi__v object type)
