Prioritizing Email Addresses for Campaigns and Journeys
To ensure campaigns and journeys are delivered to the most accurate contact point, users can define a prioritized list of email address fields. This eliminates the need for complex custom logic when managing data from multiple sources, for example OpenData or OneKey.

Configuring Email Address Priority for
To configure this feature:
- Ensure Configuring Campaign Manager is complete.
- Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets.
- Select the appropriate permission set.
- Select the Objects tab.

Defining Email Address Priority as
By default, the prioritized email address is email_cda__v. Users can define the evaluation order of email addresses to ensure the system selects the correct contact information for targets with multiple email fields.
To define email priority:
- Navigate to the appropriate campaign or journey.

Select the Information button to display the side panel.
- Select the Edit button.

Populate the Email Address Priority field with a comma-separated, prioritized list of account__v fields.
For example, marketing_email__c, email_cda__v
Up to five fields can be added to this list.
- Select Save.
When marketing users send their campaigns and journeys, the email address for each target is selected based on the defined priority of email fields. If the first field in the list is blank or null for a given target, the system evaluates the next field in the priority order until a valid email address is found.
Reviewing Prioritized Emails in the Target List
Marketing users can review the prioritized email addresses of their targets in the Target List tab.
Each defined email field in the Email Address Priority field displays as a distinct column in the Target List for each target. These columns are also included when exporting the target list.
