Defining the Language of Approved Email Content
The language__v field on both the approved_document__v and account__v objects defines the language of the Approved Email content and the preferred language of the account, respectively.
By default the English language is enabled. Organizations can enable other languages from the list, or add new languages.
Setting languages for these fields enables Approved Email end users to filter Approved Email content whose language matches the preferred language of the recipient, and vice versa.
End users are alerted if they have selected recipients and content with different language__v fields, ensuring that recipients are always sent content in their preferred language.
Users on the iPhone platform are not warned if recipients have conflicting languages.

Setting the Language of Approved Email Content
The language__v field on the approved_document__v object represents the language of the content and enables users to filter content based on language when composing Approved Emails. The field is populated during the Approved Email - PromoMats/MedComms Integration. Any edits made to this field in CRM are overridden during the next integration process.
Defining Available Languages
The language__v field on both approved_document__v and account__v uses the Language (vlanguage__v) picklist, which contains the ISO codes for all languages used in Vault CRM.
By default, there is only one active picklist value, en_US. The picklist values for the remaining languages are inactive. Business admins can enable a language by setting the picklist value to active. Business admins can also define new languages by adding additional picklist values.
To enable inactive picklist values:
- Navigate to the Language (vlanguage__v) picklist under Business Admin > Picklists
- Select Show Inactive Values to show picklist values that are inactive. To change a picklist value’s status, select Edit then select a status from the Picklist Value Status column.
To add additional picklist values:
- Navigate to the Language (vlanguage__v) picklist under Business Admin > Picklists
- Select Edit then add a new language by typing in the text box at the bottom of the screen and selecting Enter.

When end users compose messages and select recipients, they are alerted if the language of the content does not match the language of any selected accounts. This ensures that recipients receive content in their preferred language.
