Content Studio Connection Management
Content Studio Admins with CRM Connections Management permissions can view the Connections tab in Admin mode. These Connections connect the Content Studio to one or more Vault PromoMats or MedComms for testing and deployment, or to one or more Vault CRM for testing.

Configuring Content Studio Connection Management for
To view a list of Connections, select the Connections link in the Admin section of the left pane.
The Connections list displays the following Columns:
- Vault Name
- App Type
- Vault Type
- Vault DNS
- Scope
- Team
- Test Users
Admins can sort the columns by selecting the column headers. By default, the list is sorted by Name in Ascending order.
If no Connections are defined, the screen displays a prompt and a button for creating a new Connection.
Searching for Connections
Admins can search for a specific Connection. The search functionality searches across the Label, Vault Name, and Vault URL columns.
To search for a Connection:
- Enter search terms in the Search field. Suggested matches display as text is entered in the field.
- Select Enter.
The user list is updated to display only the matching Connections.
Filtering Connections
Two dropdown filters display next to the Search field at the top of the Connections list. Admins can specify filters to narrow the Connections in the list.
The following filters are available:
- All Connections - Filters by Connection status or type
- All Teams - Filters by the Team column
Creating a Connection to Vault PromoMats or Vault MedComms for Deployment
Admins with Connection Management permission can create new Connections to Vault PromoMats or Vault MedComms.
To create a Connection to Vault PromoMats or Vault MedComms:
- Select the New Connection button. The New Connection dialog displays.
- Enter a unique Vault Name (50 character limit).
- Select an App Type (Vault CRM, Vault PromoMats, or Vault MedComms).
- Select a Vault Type. If Vault PromoMats or Vault MedComms is selected, enter the following in the Integration User section:
- Vault URL
- Username
- Password
- Enter a Vault DNS.
- Select Deployment from the Scope picklist.
- Select a Team.
- Select Save.
Creating a Connection to Vault CRM for Testing
Admins with Connection Management permission can create new Connections to Vault CRM for testing.
To create a Connection to Vault CRM for testing:
- Select the New Connection button. The New Connection dialog displays.
- Enter a unique Vault Name (50 character limit).
- Select Vault CRM from the App Type picklist.
- Select a Vault Type.
- Enter a Vault DNS.
- Select Content Testing from the Scope picklist.
- Select a Team.
- Select the Download Studio Connection File button in the Connection File section. A status pill displays next to the Connection File label indicating the status.
- Pending - Studio Connection File has not yet been successfully uploaded in Vault CRM
- Connected - Studio Connection File has been successfully uploaded in Vault CRM
- Deleted - Studio Connection File has been deleted from Vault CRM.
- Select Save.
- Log into Vault CRM.
- Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Application Configurations > General > Content Studio Administration.
- Select the Upload Connection File button.
- Upload the Studio Connection File you previously downloaded.
The Content Studio Administration Page in Vault CRM displays a table of all Content Studio Connections with the Vault instance.
The following information is displayed for each connection:
- Studio domain name
- Date and time the connection was established
- Delete button for removing the connection
Editing a Connection
To edit a connection:
- Locate the Connection you want to update.
- Select the Pencil icon on the right side of the screen for the appropriate row. The Edit Connection dialog displays.
- Update the necessary information.
- Select Save.
Managing Test Users for a Vault CRM Connection
Content Studio Admins can manage the test users for each Vault CRM Connection.
To manage test users:
- Locate the Connection in the Connections list.
- Select More Actions > View Test Users. The Test Users dialog displays.
- Add or delete test users:
- To add a test user, select the Add Test User button, specify a username and password, and select Save.
- To delete a test user, select the Delete icon for the appropriate user, then select Delete in the confirmation dialog.
- Select Done.
