Free Goods Pricing Rules
Free Goods pricing rules define quantities of free goods included with an order. Free Goods are defined as a quantity.
Free Goods pricing rules can be combined with line level discounts, order level discounts, brand level discounts, and product group level discounts. Free Goods pricing rules cannot be combined with Free Goods Percentage pricing rules.
Who can use this feature?
- Browser, iPad, Windows Users
- Users do not require an additional license
- End Users, Order Admins
Creating Free Goods Pricing Rules as

To create a Free Goods pricing rule:
- Navigate to Home > Pricing Rules tab.
- Select Create.
- Select Free Goods Rule in the Object Type Selector.
- Select Continue.
- Complete the following fields:
- name__v
- product__v (product_type__v must be order__v or kit_item__v)
- start_date__v
- end_date__v
- comparison_type__v
- minimum_quantity__v
- maximum_quantity__v (optional)
- free_goods__v
- free_goods_max__v (optional)
- Select Save.
Using Free Goods Pricing Rules as

When products are added to an order, Free Goods pricing rules can set the free_goods__v field.
If the free_goods__v field is on the layout for order_line__v the user can manually override the free goods determined by the pricing rules. The free_goods__v cannot exceed free_goods_max__v.
Comparison Type
- If Free Goods Rule comparison_type__v equals the product_quantity__v, then quantity__v of the product is considered to determine if the free goods applies
- If Free Goods Rule comparison_type__v equals the list_value__v, then quantity__v multiplied by list_amount__v quantity__v of the product is considered to determine if the free goods applies
