Setting the Default KOL Profile Page
By default, when a user navigates to an account in Vault CRM, the account detail screen displays information about the account’s calls, territories, multichannel activities, and more. However, this information may not be the most relevant for all end users, particularly in regard to KOL accounts.
Content developers can create a custom X-Page to display KOL Profile information tailored to end users, allowing them to view customized KOL profile information by default after navigating to KOL account. For example, the KOL Profile Page could include medical events, clinical trials, and sent emails specific to that KOL.
Who can use this feature?
- Browser, iPad Users
- Users do not require an additional license
- Business Admin Users, Content Developers, End Users
Creating a Default KOL Profile page as
Content Developers
To create a Default KOL Profile page:
- Create an html_report__v record with the kol_profile__v object type.
There can only be one KOL profile page per application profile.
- Upload the content zip file as an attachment.
- Publish the HTML report.

Setting the Default KOL Profile as
Business Admin Users
To set the Default KOL Profile for end users:

Ensure the Person Account Object Types Veeva Setting is populated with the KOL account__v object type.

Ensure the Key Opinion Leader check box is selected on the appropriate accounts to indicate if the professional is a Key Opinion Leader.

Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > veeva_settings__v and edit the Global Veeva Settings record.

Populate the Default KOL Profile Veeva Setting with a value of 1 to set the KOL Profile visualization as the default landing page for mobile users. This overrides the Default Account Profile Veeva Setting, if used.
Viewing the Default KOL Profile as
End Users
To view the Default KOL Profile for an account, select My Accounts, then select a KOL account. The Default KOL Profile page displays instead of the account detail page.
To view the Default KOL Profile for an account, select the My Account tab, then select a KOL account. Scroll down the account page to the X-Pages section to view Default KOL Profile information.
