Call Categories
Call reports can be grouped into a few broad categories depending on the type of account selected on the call report. Record handling varies depending on the call category.

Using Call Categories as
End Users
There are three main categories of call report:
- Individual - For an individual HCP (person account)
- Group - For a hospital or group practice (business account)
- Medical Event - For a medical event
Call Reports for Individuals
When a call report is created for an HCP, that person account is considered the primary account of the call.
One call report is created for the person account consisting of a header record in the call2__v object, and, dependent on the individual activities captured, related records within the call child objects. If Selecting the Call Location is configured, then a child call record is also created for the business account selected as the location.
Call Reports for Groups
When a call report is created for a hospital or group practice, that business account is the primary account of the call. Optionally, one or more persons may be associated with that call as attendees. (See Adding Call Attendees for further information on associating attendees with a call.)
For these types of calls, a parent call report is created for the business account consisting of a header record in the call2__v object, and, dependent on the individual activities captured, related records within the call child objects. Additionally, one child call report is created for each attendee on the call consisting of a header record in the call2__v object and any related records within the call child objects.
Call Reports for Medical Events
When a call report is created for a medical event, if there is an account associated with the event, that account is the primary account of the call.
Any event attendees are added as attendees on the call.
For these types of calls, a parent call report is created for the primary account consisting of a header record in the call2__v object. If no primary account exists, then no account is associated with the parent call report. Dependent on the individual activities captured, related records are stored within the call child objects. Additionally, one child call report is created for each attendee on the call consisting of a header record in the call2__v object and any related records within the call child objects.
