Configuring Inventory Monitoring
Before using this module, you should understand the components, and then configure the functionality for all users.

Inventory Monitoring includes the following components:
inventory_monitoring__v
Contains the object header information for an Inventory Monitoring record, for example, the account and date for which the record was captured, object type, contract, and status.
inventory_monitoring _line__v
Contains the individual product information and the data captured for the Inventory Monitoring record, for example, facing quantities, product position, and pharmacy inventory.
product__v
Allows users to capture Inventory Monitoring information on product types most relevant for their business.
Configuring Inventory Monitoring for

To configure this feature:

Ensure the following is complete:
- Configuring Accounts
- Configuring the Product Catalog
- Enabling Products for Inventory Monitoring
- Configuring Call Reporting (if using Call as an entry point)

Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets.

Select the appropriate permission set.

Select Objects.

Grant the following permissions:

Grant users Execute permission to the copy__v, submit__v, and unlock__v object actions on the inventory_monitoring__v object.
Unlock is available on Browser only and should only be granted to admins.

Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects.
- Select the account__v object.
- Select Layouts.
- Select the appropriate account__v layout.
- Add the inventory_monitorings__c related list to the appropriate account__v layout.

Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Tabs.

Select Create and add a tab for the inventory_monitoring__v object.

Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets.
- Select the appropriate permission set
- Select Tabs
- Grant View access to the inventory_monitoring__v tab

Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > Veeva Settings.

Ensure IM_TOUCH_ENTRY_MODE__v is 2 - Single Line Entry and Save Valid Lines. This is the default.
To change this setting to Mass Add Mode, see Changing the Offline Default Entry Mode.

Navigate to Business Admin > Objects.

Select vmobile_object_configuration__v.

Enable the following VMOCs for the appropriate mobile devices:
- inventory_monitoring__v
- Select the Include Attachments check box
- inventory_monitoring_line__v
- product__v
- currency_sys (if multi-currency support is enabled)

Navigate to Business Admin > Objects and enable all appropriate accounts for Inventory Monitoring.
- Select account__v
- Select the appropriate account
- Select Edit
- Select the inventory_monitoring_type__v check box
- Select Save
