Configuring Content Studio Team Management for
To configure this feature, ensure Configuring Content Studio is complete.
Managing Content Studio Teams as
Content Studio admins with Team Management permissions can view the Teams tab in Admin mode. To view the list of Teams, select the Teams link in the Admin section of the left pane. The Teams list displays, and the navigation link displays in blue to show it is active.
If no Teams are defined, a Users/Group icon displays in the center of the empty list, along with prompts for setting up more Teams and viewing documentation.
A secondary "+ New Team" button displays below the text.
If Teams are defined, the list of Teams displays.
Selecting a Team displays the Team Hierarchy. The hierarchy starts with a root or parent Team, named Global. The hierarchy is based on the following logic:
-
The hierarchy begins with a top-level parent / root node (for example, "Global")
-
The hierarchy supports up to 5 levels
For example:
-
Level 1: Root ("Global")
-
Level 2: Product ("Cholecap")
-
Level 3: Regions ("Asia", "North America", "South America")
-
Level 4: Sub-regions/Countries ("India", "China")
-
-
-
Each child level is indented relative to its parent to clearly communicate hierarchy.
The black arrow icon to the left of the Team name indicates this is a collapsible tree. Selecting the arrow toggles the visibility of child Teams.
A More Actions icon displays on the far right of the Team row. Selecting this icon opens a context menu with the following options:
- Edit
- Users
- Connections
- Delete
Searching and Filtering Teams
Content Studio admins can search for a specific Team by entering the Team name in the Search field. The list is automatically filtered to show only matching Teams as the user types. Selecting enter updates the list to display only Teams matching the search text.
Creating Teams
Content Studio uses Teams to control user access to Email Templates and CRM Connections and associate them to a Team.
Each user can only be connected to one Team. Access depends on position in the Team Structure & User Action permissions. The user has read and edit access to items on their assigned Team and descendant Teams.
Content Studio admins are automatically assigned to the top most Global node. The Global Team exists in each Content Studio domain, and is the top-most node. Deleting the Global Team is not supported, but Content Studio admins can change the name of the Team.
