Expiring Web Links
Content admin users can configure processes or workflows to automatically expire web links after a certain amount of time after the links are sent for compliance purposes.
Who can use this feature?
- Browser Users
- Users require an Engage license
- Content Admin Users, Engage Post-Processing Integration Users
Configuring Web Link Expiration for

To configure this feature:
- Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets.
- Select the appropriate permission set.
- Navigate to Objects > Sent Message in the permission set.
- Grant Read field permission to the expire_link__v field on the sent_message__v object.
Expiring Web Links as

To expire a web link:
- Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > Sent Messages.
- Select the appropriate sent_message__v record.
- Select Edit.
- Select the Expire Link check box.
- Select Save.
The link is immediately expired. This does not expire the content itself. If the content for a link expires after the link is generated, selecting the link displays an error message. See If the link to the content is expired or the content itself is marked as expired in PromoMats/MedComms, selecting the link displays a Content Unavailable error message in the HCP Content Player. for more information.
If link expiration is not configured, web links never expire.
