Applying a Product Plan to an Account Plan
Key Account Managers can apply predefined product strategies and tactics directly to their account plans, allowing users to quickly add established tactics from a central Product Plan to an individual Account Plan. This saves time by eliminating the need to manually create account plan objectives and ensures account execution aligns with overall brand strategy.

Configuring Apply Product Plan for
To configure this feature:
- Ensure Configuring Account Plans is complete.
- Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets.
- Select the appropriate Permission Set.
- Select the Objects tab.
- Grant the following permissions:

Add the Apply Product Plan action to layouts on the account_plan__v object.

Grant Execute permission for the Apply Product Plan action on the account_plan__v object.

Navigate to Business Admin > Settings > Veeva Settings.

Select the Enable Tactic List check box to allow users to select individual Product Tactics when applying the plan. This step is optional.
Using Apply Product Plans as
Users can apply Product Strategies to an Account Plan. If the Enable Tactic List Veeva Setting is enabled, they can select individual Product Tactics to apply to the Account Plan.

Applying Product Strategies
If the Enable Tactic List Veeva Setting is disabled, users can select one or more Product Strategies from the Apply Product Strategies view. A record is created for each associated Product Tactic. To apply product strategies to an account plan:
- Navigate to an Account Plan record.
- Select the Apply Product Plan action from the All Actions menu.

Select the check box next to each Product Strategy that should be applied to the plan.
Selecting the Product Strategy name opens the record in a new tab.
- Select Apply. An account_tactic__v record is created using the user's default object type for each product_tactic__v record associated with the selected Product Strategy.
After the records are created, the account_tactic__v related object section on the Account Plan displays.
Product Plan records with one or more related Product Strategy records cannot be deleted
Applying Product Tactics
The Apply Product Tactics view is available when the Enable Tactic List Veeva Setting is enabled. Users can select one or more individual Product Tactics from various strategies.
To apply individual product tactics to an Account Plan:
- Navigate to an Account Plan record.
- Select the Apply Product Plan action from the All Actions menu.

Select the check box next to each Product Tactic that should be applied to the plan.
Selecting the Product Strategy name opens the record in a new tab.

Select Apply. An account_tactic__v record is created using the user's default object type for each product_tactic__v record associated with the selected Product Strategy.
After creating the records, the account_tactic__v related object section on the Account Plan displays.
