Targeting Key Messages to Account Segments
Key Messages can be targeted to specific segments of accounts, providing a flexible toolset to dynamically tailor the messages users deliver to HCPs. When Key Messages are targeted to account, only Key Messages that are targeted to the account segment display as options in the Key Message picklist on the call report. For example, only Key Messages targeted to high prescribers display as Key Message options on call reports for accounts classified as high prescribers.

Configuring Targeted Key Messages for

To configure this feature:
- Ensure Configuring Call Reporting is complete.
- Grant the following permissions:

Add the segment__v field to the appropriate key_message__v layouts.

Add the segmentations__v field to the appropriate layouts on the account__v object.

Populate the segment__v field on key_message__v records with the appropriate segment classification for each Key Message—for example, High Prescribers. Only one segment may be added per Key Message record.
If the segment__v field is not populated on a key_message__v record, the Key Message is considered a General Key Message and is available for selection against all accounts.
- Populate the segmentations__v field on the appropriate account__v records with a matching segment. Multiple segments may be entered per account, using a comma-delimited list. For example, High Prescribers, Efficacy, Tolerability.
Using Targeted Key Messages as

Only Key Messages that are targeted to the account segment display as options in the Key Message picklist on the call report. If the segment__v field is not populated for a Key Message, the Key Message is considered a General Key Message and is available for selection against all accounts. If the segment__v field is not populated for an account, but the segment__v field is populated on the Key Message record, the Key Message does not display for selection against the account. CLM presentations are available if the account segment matches the CLM Key Message segment for the presentation.
